Any sort of writing has its challenges but they can all be overcome with a good approach to it. The Reflective Writing video made writing this reflection a lot easier to write. It explained pretty well on how to write a better reflective writing piece than any other one you have written before. My Draft #1 is one of those where I’m satisfied enough to have worked on but not so satisfied with the style of how it was written. I worked on it for a good while taking a break in between writing it. Every other day since the assignment was assigned seemed like a good amount of time to work on it. It was frustrating at first only because I had difficulty choosing a topic to write on. I made notes every time I had a thought about what I wanted to write about and what would be enough information and detail. I started a little draft from a friend’s laptop who helped out a bit in writing my life-choice memoir. I would write it out but then keep typing my thought along with it to see if I knew how I wanted to write it and choose the topic to write the paper on. I was frustrated to a point where I didn’t know what i was writing about any more. By the end of everything there was a paper written but I wasn’t happy with how I made it. Thought all gather up pretty quickly when I first started only because I thought I knew what I was gonna write about. My memory also failed me at a time when thinking back to those moments where I made that life-choice where it had an impact on my life. I found more moments like that but there was just detail lacking where I couldn't remember it happening one way. Maybe next time I’ll write different kinds of memoir and have a group of people reads of which one they like better. Work on the preferred one more and detail it out more after getting everyone’s opinions. The other topic I wanted to write about could just have only so much to work with but maybe create a certain feeling about that moment to write it out better. Instead of having so much information and not knowing what to use and not use. I could try to write another one but for the one I’ve already written, I could revise it to where there are more description and feeling of what happened when I made that important life choice. Read it over and over till I find something I like to read and is entertaining to read. I’ll find a way to revise what I have created, for it to turn out better than the first time writing it.

The assignment for this blog post is to read three articles describing the writing process from three different writers. The following articles are “ The Daily writing Routines of Greater Writers (Maria Popova)”, “Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on writing and Life (Anne Lamott)” and, “ Zen in the are of writing (Ray Bradburry)”. After reading the articles pull out three different quotes from each article that describe the writing process for writers. Hopefully one should understand the writing process more and apply it to future writing pieces. The Daily writing Routines of Greater Writers (Maria Popova)
